NCNU International Student Scholarship

International degree applicants and enrolled students under NCNU’s international-admission rules, including eligible joint dual-degree students. New master’s/PhD applicants need a prior GPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent and departmental approval; undergraduate entry standards are department-specific. Continuing students generally need an average of at least 80 or a justified department recommendation, good conduct and required Chinese-language proof.

Application form, full academic transcripts, one department/adviser recommendation, valid ARC copy where applicable, required Chinese proficiency proof and optional supporting achievements. Thesis-only students without course grades submit an adviser recommendation. Current Chinese-taught students require TOCFL Level 2/A2 or accepted equivalent.

Department assessment and International/Cross-Strait Affairs review; priority for partner-institution nominees, supporting achievements and available funding.

Normally one semester at a time (six monthly payments), with semesterly renewal. Tuition-waiver maximums: undergraduate four years, master’s two, PhD four; graduate credit-fee waiver at most 12 credits/semester. Designated English-taught master’s support is at most two years, includes a quadruple-room dormitory waiver and requires at least 85 for automatic renewal.

Taiwan government aid or overlapping agency/institution aid, full-time work, work-based ARC or APRC, prior revocation and serious disciplinary issues can disqualify recipients. Award only once per educational level. Exchange abroad, suspension or withdrawal affects payments. Recipients must assist international activities or assigned teaching, administrative or research work; duties/hours are set by the university.
