Recognition lasts one year; students must reapply and pass an internal review. Maximum duration is four years, or two years for short-college and transfer students.

Experimental/practical fees, student association fee, and disaster/injury insurance are excluded; eligibility can be lost for weak academics, lack of financial need, or other disqualifying conditions.
